Laura Kay Dunbar

Owner

Laura is the founder of The Akeena Group and is licensed as both an Architect and General Contractor. She hallmarks the collaborative approach from the beginning of the design to the relentless coordination of construction.  It is her attention to detail and the focus on her clients needs that has earned her a reputation of It’s her vision to make the design and construction process a positive experience through systems and procedures that ensure the success of each project.

Curran Moore

Project Manager

Curran Moore is a project manager for the Akeena Group. He graduated with a degree in architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo   When he’s not camping or hiking, he spends his time outside on the beach or skateboarding with his friends. Included in his list of passions is music, which he expresses by writing songs and playing guitar. Curran excels at customer relations at The Akeena Group along with his other responsibilities in construction management and drafting .  

Chelsea Lizarraga

Office Manager

Before joining The Akeena Group, Chelsea obtained her bachelor's degree in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. As our Office Manager, Chelsea works hard behind the scenes to deliver an effortless experience to our clients. She is a Ventura County local and grew up on a ranch in Fillmore, CA. When she is not helping us bring visions to life, she enjoys spending her free time picking oranges and spending time with family.
